Please Help Us End the Cruel Dog Meat Industry in South Korea

Every year, over two million dogs are raised and slaughtered for human consumption in South Korea. Unlike in other countries where dogs slaughtered for meat are stolen from the streets, South Korea is the only country in the world known to have established large, intensive dog meat farms.

Waiting to die. Fighting to live.

Dogs raised on these farms live miserable lives. Throughout their short time, they are never shown anything but brutality - the absolute indifference to their sentience is incomprehensible. Yet, despite their treatment, when we see them on farms and in markets, the dogs come to the bars, heads bowed, tails wagging submissively. Their craving for human touch, for reprieve, is overwhelming.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The movement to end the dog meat trade in South Korea is growing stronger every day. Please add your support by making a donation TODAY.

  • £15 could help us to continue to expose the cruelty of the industry

  • £25 could contribute towards collecting further evidence to support a ban by working with legal and economic experts

  • £60 could help us lobby the South Korean government to bring the dog meat trade to a permanent end

  • £200 could help fund much needed veterinary care and rehoming costs for those individual animals who can be saved from the dog meat industry TODAY

With a growing animal rights movement in South Korea, coupled with the desire of those working in the industry to start new, humane livelihoods, CFAF is committed to ending the dog meat industry by creating a network of ambassadors for change. With your financial support, we can continue to ensure farmers surrender their dogs into our care for rehoming, while we help them set up humane businesses in which no animals will suffer.

In 2015, working in partnership with Humane Society International, CFAF closed four dog meat farms and rescued over 230 dogs from a life of unimaginable cruelty and a brutal death.

With the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea fast approaching, now is the time to act.

The time is right for us to take huge steps forward to end this cruel industry. The world’s eyes are watching South Korea in the lead up to and during the international games, and with your support, we will continue to build on the momentum for change and ensure calls for an end to the dog meat industry are heard.
